Matthew Griffin has climbed to a career-high in the golf rankings after his win at the SK Telecom Open, while eight Australians remain in the world&aposs top 100. Griffin, 29, secured his second OneAsia Tour title after thick fog forced the cancellation of the final round of the tournament in South Korea on Sunday. As a result, he has broken into the top 400 for the first time in his career, moving up 104 spots to 341st in the world in the rankings released on Monday. US Masters champion Adam Scott remains the top-ranked Australian in third, trailing American Tiger Woods and Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy. Jason Day is the other Australian in the top 50, staying in 25th after finishing tied for 27th at the HP Byron Nelson Championship on the PGA Tour. Marc Leishman (58th), John Senden (59th), Marcus Fraser (65th), Geoff Ogilvy (70th), Brett Rumford (74th) and Greg Chalmers (76th) are the other Aussies in the top 100. Rumford missed out on a third straight win on the European Tour, but finishing tied for ninth at the Volvo World Match Play Championship was enough to move him up two spots. Brendan Jones dropped out of the top 100, slipping six spots to 101st after finishing equal 15th at the PGA Championship Nissin Cupnoodles Cup on the Japan Golf Tour.
