Griffin regains lead in Jeju

Australia&aposs Matthew Griffin has regained the lead at the SK Telecom Open in South Korea with an even-par round of 72. Griffin, who led after the opening round before being overhauled by South Korea&aposs Kim Chang-yoon on Friday, returned to the top of the leaderboard despite an inconsistent front nine on Saturday at the Pinx Golf Club on Jeju Island. The 29-year-old Australian bogeyed the first two holes but struck back on the par-five fourth with a birdie. Another bogey followed on the seventh hole but Griffin returned to even par on the ninth when he posted an eagle. Griffin then carded nine consecutive pars on the run home to finish the third round on 13 under, one shot ahead of South Korea&aposs Kang Wook-soon. China&aposs Hu Mu is in a tie for third on nine under with Lee Ki-sang and Park Do-kyu of South Korea, while overnight leader Kim plummeted to seven under on Saturday. Kim will head into the final day in a share of 10th position after a disastrous seven-over 79 that included three bogeys on the back nine.
