Groom finishes well in Taiwan

Adam Groom was the highest-placed Australian at the Taiwan Masters, finishing in a tie for 29th. Groom finished on an overall score of 10-over-par at the Taiwan Golf and Country Club after a four-over 76 on the final day of the tournament saw him slip down the leaderboard and out of contention. Chinese Taipei&aposs Chi-huang Tsai won the tournament for the second time in his career, 14 shots ahead of Groom. Meanwhile, in the Coca Cola Tokai Classic 2012, none of three Australians competing made the cut in Nagoya. Brendan Jones (eight-over), Kurt Barnes (11-over) and Paul Sheehan (12-over) all failed to make it to the weekend. The tournament was won by South Korean Hyun-Woo Ryu, who defeated Japan&aposs Shingo Katayama in a playoff.
