Continuing its long running partnership with School Sport Victoria, Golf Victoria today advised it had provided a $3000 grant to the Team Vic 19 Years and Under Golf Team. This will allow significant savings to each of the twelve team members when they travel to Perth in late August to compete at the annual School Sport Australia Championship.
SSV CEO Jude Maguire acknowledged the outstanding support of Golf Victoria, stating ”This longstanding relationship with Golf Victoria and its foundation is truly appreciated by the students and families of our Team Vic members. It provides invaluable support for them to be able to compete at their very best whilst they are at the School Sport Australia championship. We have an outstanding relationship with Golf Victoria across a variety of initiatives that continues to blossom”.
David Greenhill, Golf Victoria’s Chief Operating Officer noted ”the Victorian Golf Foundation was established by Golf Victoria in 1987 as a means of supporting golf development programs and related projects”.
He added that ”the Foundation is pleased to have provided an annual grant to School Sport Victoria since the mid 1990’s to assist the Victorian Secondary School Golf Team participate in the national Championships. This major competition opportunity is important in the development of the talented junior male and female players selected in the team”.
