Golf Victoria is proud to announce Vice President Stephen Spargo was inducted as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the general division of the Australia Day honour list.
Spargo was inducted for his significant service to the community through a range of executive roles with business, agricultural, sporting and health organisations.
As a former captain and committee member of the Commonwealth Golf Club, his passion for golf is apparent. Spargo has been on the board of Golf Victoria for 12 months. He has brought a wealth of experience and has worked diligently to promote the game.
CEO of Golf Victoria, Simon Brookhouse recognised Spargo’s induction as a considerable achievement.
"It is encouraging to see Steve acknowledged for all the work he does, not only with golf but across a variety of executive positions in many industries.
“We are grateful to have Steve on the board at Golf Victoria and congratulate him on his latest achievement,” Brookhouse said.
