There was more play-off misery on the Web.com Tour for Ashley Hall as the Australian fell agonisingly short once again, this time at the Utah Championship. Just a fortnight after missing out during a four-man playoff at the United Leasing Championship, Hall lost at the first additional hole to Kiwi Steve Alker. After the duo finished tied at 22 under, Hall hit his tee shot at the first play-off hole into the water and Alker only needed to make par at the par-three 18th to clinch his 10th victory as a professional. The experienced New Zealander did that with ease, leaving Hall as the bridesmaid for the second time in three weeks. American Will Wilcox almost joined them in the play-off, with his amazing final round of 59 leaving him one shot back and in a tie for third place with compatriots Chad Collins and Ben Martin. Of the other Australians competing, Steve Allan (-12), Bronson La&aposCassie (-11), Adam Crawford (-11) and Nick Flanagan (-10) finished well back.
