Hall in charge at Judy Elphinstone

Leading this year s Judy Elphinstone tournament is Launceston golfer Tammy Hall. The former Tasmanian Amateur champion and carded rounds of 80 and 37 (117) to lead Devonport Golf Club’s Lu Proud in second place with scores of 84 and 44 (128). Local member Pamela Chen and Tasmania Golf Club junior Georgia Milbourne are placed third on 129. Launceston Golf Club’s Judith Pedley leads the B Grade championship with a round of 96 and is followed by local member Meredith Graham on 99. The C Grade championship sees Claremont s Jenny Brumby and Royal Hobart s Jenny Robertson locked in a tie for first place on 114. While reigning champion Margaret Leary from the Tasmania Golf Club holds a one stroke lead in the Senior championship over local hopeful Anne Medlycott. Leary carded a round of 85 in today s opening round which was blessed with warm and sunny conditions. Both events conclude tomorrow (Monday 18 November).
