Tasmanian touring professionals were in action at the weekend in the Thailand Open conducted at the Suwan Golf and Country Club in Bangkok, Thailand. Wynyard s Craig Hancock was the best performed of the trio finishing in equal 52nd place alongside fellow Australians Brent McCullough and Adam Crawford. The 27-year-old two-time Tasmanian Amateur Champion shot rounds of 66, 74, 70 and 69 for a nine-under-par total of 279. Riverside locals Clint Rice and Kalem Richardson also participated in the event but unfortunately missed the cut for the weekend rounds. Rice carded rounds of 75 and 66 for a three-under-par total of 141 while Richardson returned 79 and 75 for his ten-over-par total of 154. Englishman Chris Wood scored the first win of his professional career with a two shot victory in a rain interrupted US $1 million event. The 24-year-old European Tour regular competing in a OneAsia Tour event for the first time fired rounds of 67, 64, 67 and 67 for a 23-under par total of 265.
