Haney to address PGA professionals

Hank Haney, one of the world s foremost authorities on the game of golf, will address some of Australia s best home grown PGA Professionals in Melbourne on Tuesday. In town as part of his role as an Ambassador for the newly launched Crocs Golf, Haney has put time aside to chat to his Australian colleagues at Southern Golf Club tomorrow afternoon. Best known for coaching world number 1 Tiger Woods, Haney will talk to the PGA Professionals about his coaching philosophy and experience at the top echelon of the game and also take time to answer questions from the attending Professionals. This is a great opportunity for our Australian PGA Professionals to hear from one of the world s best coaches, said Brian Thorburn, CEO of the PGA of Australia. From coaching elite players to facility development and overseeing growth of the game at a junior level, Hank s achievements within our sport are numerous and we look forward to welcoming him back to Australia. Having taught the game of golf since 1976, Haney estimates that he has given over 50,000 golf lessons in a career that has taken him all over the world. Additionally he has also built and managed numerous golf facilities and player academies across the globe including five golf facilities that he currently owns and operates in Texas He is also the Director of Instruction for the Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Haney last addressed Australian PGA Professionals in 2006 when he headlined the PGA s biennial Srixon Coaching Summit.
