In celebration of their centenary year, Northern Golf Club produced magnificent sunny weather for all the players that participated in the final round of the Northern Senior Amateur today. Andrew Hansen from Eastern was able to capitalize on the perfect playing conditions, duplicating his 77 from yesterday and taking home the title with a two round gross total of 154. Four players were tied at three shots behind Hansen on 157, with Gary Wells (Royal Australian Engineers) winning the count back from Freddy Barton, Guy Krall, and Patrick Giles. The overall Nett event was tightly contested and won by Freddy Barton (Drouin, Hcp 8) on a count back from local Joe Jhoty (Northern, Hcp 22), both bettering their handicap by 3 shots with a Nett score of 141. Low round of the day came from Steven Wallace (Port Fairy), shooting a 2 over par 74.
