Hart comeback seals NT Open win

Queenslander Tim Hart claimed a two shot victory at the NAB NT Open at Darwin Golf Club after overcoming New South Welshman Kyle Grant. Hart, who represented Australia against England during The Ashes earlier this year shot a final round 5-under-par 67 in a thrilling finish. It was a thrilling win for the Queenslander who had to battle back from a four shot deficit going into the final round after Grant, who equalled the Darwin Golf Club course record with a third round 6-under-par 66, strolled to the lead. Fellow Queenslander Marika Batibasaga equalled Grant&aposs course record with a final round 66 to finish third, while fellow Queenslander Maverick Antcliff shot 69 to come in fourth. Ian Walker and Andrew Wilson were the best of the locals in the closed competition. Walker eventually won in extra holes in the play-off event.
