Hartman awarded PGA IGI scholarship

Harrison Hartman has been awarded the 2016 Golf NSW PGA IGA Scholarship.

The Scholarship is awarded annually to a golfer aged 18 to 25 years from a Golf NSW affiliated golf club.

“Golf NSW is proud to award this Scholarship to a promising young country golfer in Harrison who has made a decision to pursue an administrative career in the golf Industry,” said Graeme Phillipson, General Manager of Golf – Golf NSW.

Hartman, from South West Rocks, will receive the opportunity to study for Australia’s only Diploma of Golf Management with the PGA International Golf Institute at their Sydney Campus located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

The Diploma is a one year program which delivers combination of academic study, practical golf training and development including golf competitions, while focusing on the business of club operations, management, and event organisation with a particular focus on the golf industry as a whole.

This industry recognised qualification prepares graduates for a career in the golf industry, in either operations, administration or management.

Graduating students can utilise a one year credit toward Bachelor Degrees with International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) or towards the PGA Trainee Program.
