Having a Ball

By Aaron Baddeley One of my proudest golfing moments to date is claiming the 1999 Australian Open as an 18-year-old amateur. It’s whetted my appetite and I want to win as many of my own national titles as I can. I love playing the Australian Open. It’s our national championship as there s nothing like winning at home in front of a supportive crowd which includes your family and friends. The first thing I do when I arrive back in Australia is indulge in a meat pie with sauce! I don t have a particular diet but I do eat a healthy, balanced diet, so I like to spoil myself when I get back to Australia. I also enjoy the chance for some chilling out time in front of the TV. Even when I m off the course, I still love watching golf on TV. Tennis is another spectator sport of interest, but my favourite TV shows are Lost or re-runs or Seinfeld. I can t wait to get my MFS 2006 Australian Open campaign started next week. Royal Sydney is a great course and there s such a depth of Aussie talent on the international tour now so it s going to be a great contest.
