Hillier and Elliott in touch at LPGA Q-School

Round 3 Leaderboard Whitney Hillier and Breanna Elliott are in a tie for 23rd place after the third round at LPGA International at Daytona Beach, Florida. Elliott shot a third round 69 and Hillier an even par 72 to both be at 1-under par. Sydney&aposs Justine Lee is in 40th place following a third round 73. Round 2 Leaderboard National Squad member Whitney Hillier is the leading Australian after the second round of the First Stage of LPGA Q-School at Daytona Beach in Florida. Hillier is in a tie for 15th place at 1-under par following rounds of 72-71. Sydney&aposs Justine Lee is in a tie for 37th while the leading Australian after Round 1, Breanna Elliott, is in a tie for 45th following a 76. Jody Fleming also looks set to make the 36 hole cut line. Round 1 Victorian Breanna Elliott is the best of the Aussies in 12th place after the opening round of the first stage of the 2012 LPGA Qualifying Tournament. The National Squad member shot a 2-under par 70 to be five strokes behind leader Rachel Rohanna who finished with a 67. Sydney&aposs Justine Lee finished with a first round 71 while Espirito Santo team member Whitney Hillier finished with an even par 72. The field will be cut to the top-70 players and ties following Wednesday s second round. The top-60 players and ties following four rounds of play will advance into the Qualifying Stage II. That 72-hole event will be held Oct. 9-12, at Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Fla. The top 70 and ties from Stage II will advance into the final Qualifying Tournament Stage III. The final Stage III Q-school will be contested over 90 holes Nov. 28 through Dec. 2, on both the Champions and Legends courses at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. Top finishers in the final stage will earn 2012 LPGA membership (total number of cards TBD) and all others who make the cut will receive Symetra Tour status.
