Golf Australia National Squad member Whitney Hillier (WA) has won the Astor Salver at Royal Berkshire Golf Club in England. Hillier shot a total 9-under-par across both championship courses in the 36-hole Stroke Play event. The win follows her 8th placed finish at the St Rule Trophy at St Andrews earlier this week. Speaking about her form in the St Rule Trophy earlier this week, Hillier was in good touch. “I played really well and didn&apost miss a green.” I was proud of only hitting one bunker the whole day and I still made birdie from that too. I had 9 birdies total in the 36 holes. The Astor Salver is held each year.
