Hills International College in Queensland lead the Australian School Teams Championship by two strokes after the first round at Peninsula Country Golf Club&aposs North Course. Led by Maverick Antcliff, Emily McLennan and John Coleman, the team fired a total 225 to lead South Australia&aposs Henley High School team by two shots going into the second round. In cold winds on Victoria&aposs Mornington Peninsula, McLennan, who was part of the victorious Queensland Girls team at the Australian Girls Interstate Teams Matches fired the round of the day with a one under par 72, adjusted to 71 due to the difference in the women&aposs and men&aposs course ratings. Defending champions Como Secondary College (WA) finished with an opening round team total 242 to sit in second last place. The teams took Monday afternoon off to enjoy a spot of bowling together. The second and final round concludes on Tuesday.
