Hoath takes Tamar Valley Junior Cup

Queensland young gun Lewis Hoath has won the Tamar Valley Junior Cup in Tasmania by seven strokes.

The recent Greg Norman Junior Masters champion emerged victorious after 72-holes of stroke play to finish even par. The 17-year-old Emerald Lakes member recorded rounds of 75-71-70-68.

Fellow Queenslanders Jack Korotcoff (Sanctuary Cove) and Elvis Smylie (Southport) rounded out the top-5 finishing third and fourth respectively.

In the girl’s event, Lion Higo (Emerald Lakes) was the best placed Queenslander with third place after Victoria’s Sheradyn Johnson won the title.
