uot;left" />Whilst a boundary fence runs all the way along the 3rd the threat of driving out of bounds is limited. Instead three features dominate the strategy here. The first is the fairway bunker on the right, which is either carried or skirted past on the left. The closer one plays to the bunker the better the line into the green orientated from right to left and protected by a deep bunker on the left. Those playing the safest tee shots here are left with the most difficult approach, a principle that is the essence of strategic golf course architecture.
