In perfect conditions the Kooringal Junior Tournament was held yesterday at the Kooringal Golf Club. The Kooringal Junior Tournament was held in conjunction with the SSV Under 12 Team Trial, Kookaburra Trophy and 9 Hole Rookie event.
Tony Jung took out the Kevin Hartley Kooringal Boys Championship with a score of 76, whilst Danielle Hu won both the overall Winn Lloyd Kooringal Girls Championship and overall Nett Championship. Other highlights included two eagles and Matthew Griggs’ hole-in-one on the 16th, a 180m par 3!
13 players eagerly competed in the rookie event as part of the Stuart Appleby Rookie Series, with James Roberts and Siobhan Award winning the under 15 titles and Izak Uy and Dominique Jones winning the under 10 titles. For more information about the Rookies Series click here.
