Sunshine Coast&aposs Katherine Hull has been nominated for the Mazda/Courier-Mail Queensland Sportswoman of the Year. Her performances throughout the year have seen her nominated amongst a host of Olympic athletes. The award will be presented at a Gala Dinner hosted by Womensport Queensland at the Sofitel in Brisbane on November 14.

Hull&aposs superb year includes winning the CN Canadian Women&aposs Open in August which was her first victory on the tough LPGA Tour. In the ensuing two tournaments she notched 4th place finishes at the Safeway and Bell Micro LPGA Classic&aposs. Her season has also included a further two Top-10 finishes which has seen her current season earnings stand at US$805,918, passing the $1million mark in career earnings on the LPGA. She is currently playing in Hawaii at the inaugural Kapalua LPGA Classic with her season culminating on 23 November at the ADT Championship where she has earned 1 of 32 spots playing for the first prize of US$1million.
