Huntingdale has made it three consecutive Division 1 Metropolitan matchplay titles with their final round half against Southern yesterday.The final round half was their closest contest all year after another solid season. Surprisingly, there were no undefeated players in division 1 this year.
In Division 2, Cranbourne clinched the title going undefeated throughout the season. Two squared matches by Cranbourne showed how even the competition was. This win promotes them to Division 1 for the 2015 season. Sandra McCaw (Long Island) and Trudy Marget (Kingston Heath) were in impressive form going undefeated.
In Division 3, the final round robin match between Rosanna and Latrobe was to decide the title with Rosanna comfortably winning 6 and 1. The players were greeted with lush fairways and slick greens for the final round at Riversdale Golf Club. Due to Kingswood and Peninsula merging, Keysborough were saved from relegation to Division 4 for the 2015 season. Well done to Tessa Fraser (The Heritage) for being the only player in Division 3 to be undefeated.
