Hyundai joins GA in groundbreaking deal

/>

Hyundai and Golf Australia have signed a landmark agreement to help drive Australian golf into the future.

Through its award-winning prestige Genesis sedan, Hyundai has entered into a multi-year agreement with Golf Australia. Genesis becomes the official automotive partner of both the Emirates Australian Open and the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open, as well as supporting Golf Australia’s digital output, including www.golf.org.au and other media channels.

“We’re excited to have one of the world’s fastest growing automotive brands align with golf in this country,” Golf Australia CEO Stephen Pitt said. “To have such a great brand investing in the game as Golf Australia’s exclusive automotive partner is a really positive message on the state of the game in this country.”

Hyundai Motor Company Australia’s CEO Charlie Kim said the company was delighted to partner with Golf Australia for these prestigious international sporting tournaments. “This partnership offers us the opportunity to showcase the Genesis brand on the world stage through our sponsorship of the Emirates Australian Open and ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open,” he said. “A fleet of Genesis sedans will be on hand to transport many of the world's golfing elite as they participate in what will, undoubtedly, be great events.”

The Emirates Australian Open, promoted by Lagardère Sports, will be staged at Royal Sydney Golf Club from November 17-20.

The ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open will take place at the Royal Adelaide Golf Club at a February date to be confirmed.
