Injury forces Creamer out of #WomensAusOpen

American star Paula Creamer has withdrawn from the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open.

Creamer pulled out at the weekend, citing a wrist injury that ruined her 2017 LPGA Tour season.

The 31-year-old pulled out of the Evian Championship in September and has not played since after wrist surgery.

Tournament director Trevor Herden said Creamer had been racing time to be fit in time for her first visit to Adelaide from 15-18 February, but had been unable to achieve her goal.

“We wish Paula all the best in getting back to full fitness and returning to her world-class form later in the season so we can see her back in Australia next year,” Herden said.
