To celebrate Golf Month this October we’re giving away four ultimate golf bug adventures to Barnbougle and King Island thanks to Air Adventure Golf Tours.
The Golf Month team has been so overwhelmed by interesting and worthy stories that last week, we decided to give away some early prizes – and we’re doing the same this week!
Congratulations to this week’s winners, who each receive a TLink GPS watch thanks to our friends at Drummond Golf.
And don’t forget, you can enter the competition by telling us in 150 words or less who you will share the golf bug with during Golf Month this October.
Check out our latest winners’ submissions:
Liz Muenchow, WA
“I will share the golf bug with my partner Krissy. She says she hates golf as its too indulgent but secretly I know she loves it and just won't allow herself the down time to play. She’s a workaholic and does heaps for others – which is the real reason she doesn't have time to play. I know this trip would get her to the tipping point to let herself go. To spend more time doing things for herself instead of everyone else (me included) and embrace the 'golf bug' not fight it!”
Greg Keenan, VIC
“My 9-year-old golf-mad son got me into golf as an adult in order to spend time with him. We play every weekend rain, hail, shine and when I was in a coma in hospital recently he held my hand every day talking to me about how much he wanted me to get better so we could go play golf! Now I'm better and could think of nothing better than sharing the golf bug with him on his ultimate golf adventure.”
Duncan Booth, QLD
“My family as a whole. My wife who has never golfed, 3-and-a-half-year-old son and 18-month old daughter. We picked up a set of second hand kids clubs and they all want to go to the driving range or ‘the giant golf ball with the sand pits’ as they know it.”
Louise Barnes, NSW
“One of my biggest regrets is that I didn't play my first game of golf until after I was 50 – now I'm truly bitten by the bug! I plan to share my new found passion with my 22-year-old son Simon. We both have October birthdays – what better gift? I've thought long and hard about the best way to introduce him to the wonderful world of golf. Our local pro has introduced a "summer comp". It's a great introduction for a newbie who is a bit time poor. I'm just so excited to be able to introduce him to such a wonderful life long sporting lifestyle! I'm already planning family golf trips away.”
Darren Foreman, SA
“I would share the golf bug with my new fiancé. Whilst on holidays in Hawaii in July this year I took the opportunity for a round at the world famous Princeville Makai Golf Club, which is one of the most beautiful courses in the world. At the end of our round at sunset overlooking the ocean I proposed to her and since then have been trying to get her into golf. I am currently looking at purchasing some ladies’ clubs for her and this trip would be the perfect way for her to break them in and start her golfing adventure together with me.”
Note: Weekly winners will still be eligible for the overall prize.
