National Squad Western Australia s Whitney Hillier has been added to Golf Australia s National Squad at Tier 2 level. Hillier, 21, who has been in the squad at various times in recent years, won the Lake Macquarie Amateur and Riversdale Cup earlier this year and is ranked 21 on the World Amateur Rankings and second on the Australian Women’s Amateur Ranking System. The Joondalup Country Club member recently represented Australia at the Queen Sirikit Cup where she finished as the leading Australian on the individual leaderboard. Malaysian Amateur and Saujana Amateur 24-31 May, Glenmarie Golf & Country Club and Saujana Golf and Country Club Western Australian pair Oliver Goss and Ryan Peake have been selected to compete at the Malaysian and Saujana Amateur events held from 24-31 May in Selangor, Malaysia. Goss, a member of the Junior National Squad, won the WA Amateur earlier this year while Peake is a former Handa Junior Masters winner. Daniel Bringolf (NSW) won the Malaysian Amateur in 2011. Thunderbird International Junior 25-28 May, Grayhawk GC, Scottsdale, Arizona Former Australian junior champions Anthony Murdaca (SA) and Cathleen Santoso (NSW) will travel to Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale for the Thunderbird International Junior in May. Both Junior National Squad members, Murdaca won the Boys SA Junior Masters earlier this year while Santoso is the current NSW Junior champion. Past competitors at the Thunderbird include PGA Tour winners Hunter Mahan and Ryan Moore. Tony Meyer (QLD) is the Coach. Toyota World Junior 19-22 June, Toyota GC, Chukyo, Japan Oliver Goss (WA), Anthony Murdaca (SA), Ricky Kato (NSW) and Viraat Badhwar (QLD) will head to Japan in June for the Toyota World Junior in Chukyo. Goss, Murdaca and Kato are all Junior National Squad members and represented Australia at the Trans-Tasman Cup in March, while Badhwar finished runner-up at the Australian Boys Amateur Championship in Queensland in April. Peter Knight (VIC) is the Team Coach. Callaway World Junior 11-13 July, Torrey Pines GC (North), California Minjee Lee (WA), Su Hyun Oh (VIC), Ruben Sondjaja (NSW) and Lucas Herbert (VIC) will travel to the famous Torrey Pines layout in California for the Callaway World Junior event in July. Oh won the Australian Girls Amateur in April while Sondjaja and Herbert represented Australia at the Trans Tasman Cup earlier in the year. Lee won the WA Amateur, NSW Junior, Handa Junior Masters and Singapore Ladies Amateur in 2011.
