Victoria will play New South Wales in tomorrow's final of the Australian Men's Interstate Teams Matches at Federal Golf Club in Canberra.
The Victorians are hunting their first win in the championship since 2009 while New South Wales last won in 2012.
In sunny morning conditions, Victoria had a battle on their hands but sealed a 4-3 win over Tasmania to maintain their perfect record of winning every contest so far.
Geoff Drakeford (VIC) held on for a 1up win over Mark Schulze (TAS) to help the Victorians to victory. Zach Murray, Todd Sinnott and Lucas Herbert also recorded victories for the Victorians.
Despite a 5-2 loss to Western Australia, the New South Wales team booked their spot in the final after South Australia could only halve their contest with Queensland. A South Australian victory would have seen them leapfrog New South Wales into the championship contest.
Queensland and South Australia will play off in the first consolation final for third place while Western Australia and Tasmania will compete in the second consolation final.

Australian Women's Interstate Teams Matches – Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club, Canberra
In a nail-biting finish, Western Australia booked a spot in the final of the Australian Women's Interstate Teams Matches where they'll play New South Wales for the Gladys Hay Memorial Cup.
It will be a replay of this morning's fifth round match where the Western Australians won 3.5 – 0.5
Western Australia finished the five rounds level on contests but just half a match clear of Queensland who finished third. World Number 1 amateur Minjee Lee, Hayley Bettencourt and Alyssa Keir all won for Western Australia.
New South Wales will be hunting their first win in the championship since 2009 while the Western Australian team won in 2012 with a team that included four of the players competing in 2014.
Queensland will play Victoria in the first consolation final after the Queenslanders beat South Australia 5-0 this morning.
Victoria defeated Tasmania 4.5 – 0.5 to finish fourth.
South Australia will play Tasmania in the second consolation final.
