Jager bombs the field in Argentina

AIS/National Squad members Matt Jager and Scott Arnold have triumphed at the Jockey Club de Rosario championship in South America. The pair travelled to Rosario, 300 km north west of Buenos Aires, to play on one of Argentina&aposs most prestigious courses designed by Alistair Mackenzie. Australia was the defending champion going into this year&aposs event after Matt Griffin and Scott Arnold led Australia to victory in 2007. A 2-man team event, Australia defeated Argentina by 16 strokes after four rounds. Jager shot rounds of 71-71-66-72 (280) to also be crowned indivdual champion and taste his first major international victory. Argentinian Julian Etulain fell two strokes short of Jager.
