Jager in touch in Aberdeen

AIS/Golf Australia National Squad member Matt Jager is the highest-placed Australian after the opening round of the Scottish Stroke Play Championship at Murcar Links in Aberdeen. Jager shot an opening round 2-over par 73 to be tied for 27th going into the second round and in with a good chance of making the cut. National Squad team mate Bryden Macpherson opened with a 4-over par round of 75. Brendan Smith and Daniel Nisbet finished at 7-over and 8-over respectively.
