Dani Holmqvist and Joanna Klatten share the lead at five-under-par after the opening round of the Mt Broughton Classic presented by McGills Transport. On a warm sunny day, players enjoyed the challenging layout in the magnificent Southern Highlands. It is a jam packed leaderboard with players from around the world in contention. Holmqvist, is from Sweden, while Klatten, who has been the form player of the Club Car Series to date, is from France. We then have Chloe Leurquin from Belgium, England s Hannah Burke and Australian Rebecca Codd rounding out the top five just one shot back. Sitting at three-under-par and right in the mix are Australians Rebecca Artis, Stacey Keating and last start winner at Moss Vale, Bree Arthur. South African Stacy Lee Bregman, Spain s Marta Silva and Scot Pamela Pretswell are also at three-under. Three shots off the lead at two-under are ACT s Nikki Campbell, NSW s Sarah Kemp and Cherie Alison and England s Trish Johnson. WA s Jessica Speechley was the winner of the shootout.
