Jindera completes the list of competitors for State Final

The Jindera Golf Club team walked away elated after winning the RLGA District Women’s Fourball Championship, the last district to host the Women’s Fourball District Finals.  Jindera is one of thirty-one teams (twelve metropolitan and nineteen country) who qualified through Club qualifying rounds and District/Metropolitan playoffs to reach the State Final.

It was the first time Jindera entered the event and was the first time the team played together.  The runners-up from Jerilderie were also first-time entrants.  One of Jerilderie’s players only started playing ten months ago.

The enthusiasm the RLGA Finals evoked has spread like wild fire across the district—their collective fingers are now crossed hoping the ladies do well at the state event.

The 2014 NSW Women’s Fourball Championship State Final will take place at the spectacular Bonville Golf Resort from Tuesday 25th to Friday 28th November 2014.  The competition has been open to female golfers who are over 18 years and hold a current Golf Australia handicap. The final will be conducted over two (2) rounds of 18 holes. The aggregate par result over the two rounds will determine the 2014 NSW Women’s Fourball Champions.

“One of the Jindera ladies already organised child care the minute she arrived home.”  RLGA Secretary Margaret Playford said, “Wild horses won’t keep the Jindera ladies from competing at Bonville!

We are thrilled for the ladies…this may boost enthusiasm for more Riverina clubs to include the 4BBB event in their programs.”
