American J.J Henry won the Reno-Tahoe Open to claim the second PGA Tour title of his career on Sunday, while Stuart Appleby was the highest-placed Australian. Henry finished on 43 points, one point ahead of Brazilian Alexandre Rocha under the Stableford scoring system. Under the modified system, players receive five points for an eagle and two for a birdie, while dropping one point for a bogey and three for a double-bogey or worse. Appleby finished on 26 points overall to tie for 16th place. He picked up seven points in his see-sawing final round that included three birdies, an eagle and four bogeys. Rod Pampling and Nick O-Hern finished on 16 and 15 points respectively, while Nathan Green finished with eight. Henry hit four birdies and one bogey in his final round at the Montreux Golf and Country Club, while Rocha managed five birdies and a bogey. Argentina&aposs Andres Romero ended the tournament in third place with 37 points, while American John Mallinger claimed fourth on 34 points after only managing to add two points to his overnight score. John Daley recorded his best finish on the PGA Tour since 2005 with a tie for fifth with countryman Justin Leonard. The win sees Henry collect USD 540,000 to take his total season winning to USD 1.2 million and ensures him a place in the PGA Championship in Kiawah Island next week.
