Johnson wraps up Shanghai success

Dustin Johnson has held off Ian Poulter and Graeme McDowell to claim victory at the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai on Sunday. Johnson&aposs three-shot overnight lead was initially wiped out on a thrilling final day, but the American held his nerve and finished strongly with the aid of an eagle at 16. A second successive 66 gave him an aggregate score of 24 under. Poulter, who shared first place with four holes remaining, and McDowell matched Johnson&aposs Sunday score to finish three and four shots back respectively, while a closing 63 propelled Sergio Garcia into fourth at 18 under. Scott Hend was the pick of the Australians on seven under in a share of 21st position while Daniel Popovic finished the tournament nine shots further back on two over in equal 66th spot.
