Johnson Wagner has retaken the lead at the Greenbrier Classic with a six-under 64 at the Old White TPC in West Virginia. Wagner carded three birdies on the back nine to move back to the top of the leaderboard after the 33-year-old American had shared the lead following the first round of the PGA Tour event in White Sulphur Springs. Saturday&aposs third round saw Wagner move to 14-under overall taking a two-stroke lead from Jimmy Walker, who also stormed up the leaderboard with a score of 64, while Sweden&aposs Jonas Blixt claimed third overall at 10 under for the tournament. Australia&aposs Matt Jones and Steven Bowditch are a further shot back at nine under, tied for fourth with Jordan Spieth, while there is a group of six at eight under including Rory Sabbatini of South Africa, American Bill Haas and South Korea&aposs DH Lee. After blitzing The Old White on Thursday with an eight-under 62, Wagner had failed to get going in his second round as he posted an even-par 70 but Saturday&aposs third round saw the Texan back in form as he birdied three of the opening five holes. A bogey followed on the par-four seventh hole but Wagner responded quickly with a birdie on the ninth to be 11-under overall. Birdies on the 10th, 12th and 18th holes completed a bogey-free back nine as Wagner pulled ahead with a round to play in West Virginia. Walker carded a bogey-free six-under 64 to claim second position at the Classic with the 34-year-old American posting five birdies on the back nine, while Blixt recovered from a double-bogey on the par-four 13th hole to remain in contention with a three-under 67. Jones moved to within five shots of the lead with three birdies on the back nine, keeping his slim chances of winning the title alive, while Bowditch posted a one-under 69 after an inconsistent third round including five birdies and four bogeys.
