Jones falls short

Australia&aposs Brendan Jones has finished third behind Shingo Katayama at the Japan Open in Fukuoka. Jones carded a final found of 71 to take third, but he was no match for Katayama, who cruised to a four stroke victory. The 35-year-old carded an even-par 71 in the final round for a one-under-par 283 total to ensure he comfortably won the tournament. The win was Katayama&aposs 25th of his career. Ryo Ishikawa produced one of the better rounds of the day with a two-under 69 but it was not enough to deny Katayama and he finished second. Lee Dong-hwan finished fourth after also carding even par.
