Jordan Bishop wins back to back Junior Opens

Jordan Bishop pictured during the 2013 Pennant Final Jordan Bishop (Kooyonga) has taken out his second SA Junior event of the 2013/14 summer, while Kristalle Blum from The Grange was victorious in the girls event. Players faced perfect conditions on both days with the first 18 holes played at Flagstaff Hill Golf Club and the final 18 holes at Blackwood Golf Club. In the Boy s Open, Bishop claimed the title after solid rounds of 72,70 for a 36 hole total of 142 (2 under the card) to win by six strokes ahead of the last Open runner up Echunga s Billy Cawthorne 72, 76 (148). Fittingly, Bishop made an eagle three on the par 5 18th hole to claim back to back victories and heads into the next event, the SA Amateur Championship 6&7 January as the inform player. In the nett event, William Arnold from Royal Adelaide playing off a 17 handicap took the honours with a score of 129 with rounds of 80,83 ahead of Harrison Burner 143. With rounds of 78,78 (156) Kristalle Blum dominated the girls event by 18 strokes ahead of Jin-young Yun 88,86 (174). The Grange girls excelled over the two days, taking up the first 6 placings in the gross event. Sophia Cannizzaro (HCap 16) again claimed the nett event with net scores of 76, 72 (148).
