Nominee Name: Taylor Hay MYGolf Centre: Devonport Golf Club State: TAS Age: 14 Favourite golfer and why? My dad is my inspiration because he has taught me how to play golf and has helped me to improve with my golf skills Why should Taylor be the June MYGolfer of the Month? In order to improve her skills, Taylor has been attending the MYGolf program at Devonport Golf Club since its launch in May 2011. Despite having to travel just over 30km each way to get to the session, Taylor has an almost perfect attendance record! She is an incredibly keen golfer, completing the Bronze level of MYGolf in late 2011 and is not far away from achieving her Silver. Taylor has participated in several junior tournaments as well as a Golf Tasmania Junior Camp. In October 2011 Taylor attained her first handicap and since then has managed to reduce it to 38. She plays whenever she can on Saturdays and during the school holidays and earlier this month she won the Ladies Division 3 stroke event at Devonport. Devonport s Centre Coordinator, Beverley Holman, describes Taylor as a very courteous MYGolfer who is always encouraging the other juniors. Congratulations Taylor!
