Golf Australia offers a range of junior events for golfers of all abilities. Our junior events are broken down into two categories, events where handicaps are required and events where handicaps are not needed.
Non-handicap and School events
These events are designed for a wide range of players, from those with little or no competition experience to players that are frequently competing in events. These competitions provide a great challenge for regular junior players and a stepping stone for those looking to transition into some of their first competitive experiences. All events that fall into this category have modified rules to suit the profile of the players competing. Players do not need to have an official Golf Australia handicap to compete but if they do they are still eligible to play.
Handicap events
These events range from 72-hole State Championships to 18-hole single day competitions. To enter a player must have a valid Golf Australia handicap or overseas equivalent and meet the specific handicap requirement of the event conditions.
