Junior Interstate Series – Day 2 Report

Australian Boys’ Interstate Teams Matches – The Heritage Golf and Country Club – Rounds 3 and 4

The Victorian Boys’ team has continued to produce dominant displays which sees them lead the Australian Boys’ Interstate Teams Matches into the penultimate day, having not lost a match to date.

After the second day of competition, the Victorians hold a 20-0 win/loss record in the individual matches.

Newly-crowned Australian Junior champion Ryan Ruffels, Zach Murray, Brett Coletta, Frazer Droop, Blake Collyer and David Micheluzzi are responsible for the Victorian dominance.

New South Wales sit in second place, a full 5.5 matches behind Victoria after victory over Western Australia on Monday afternoon.

Western Australia is in third position ahead of Queensland in fourth place.

South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and the Northern Territory round out the table.

Rounds 5 and 6 are played on Tuesday.

Australian Girls’ Interstate Teams Matches – Yering Meadows Golf Club – Rounds 3 and 4

The New South Wales and Queensland girls’ teams are locked in a head-to-head battle which will decide which state claims the Burtta Cheney Cup on Tuesday.

Both teams are level on matches and contests after the second day of play and share top spot on the leaderboard going into today’s final at the Australian Girls’ Interstate Teams Matches in Victoria’s Yarra Valley.

The teams will square off tomorrow morning in pursuit of victory.

Victoria is in third place and will need to secure victory over Western Australia to maintain their hold on third place.

The South Australian team is in fifth place.

The final round is played on Tuesday morning.
