Junior League fun in NSW

The hills district was alive when clubs at Castle Hill, Muirfield, Cumberland, Windsor, Pennant Hills and Stonecutters Ridge competed in the interclub team event for primary aged participants, known as MyGolf Junior League.

The round robin format goes for five weeks, each club hosting one round.

The format is two ball Ambrose match play, each team having three pairs. The nine-hole event is played on a shortened course, with points awarded for winning or halving a hole and the total team points determining the winner on the day.

Parents and supporters are welcome to pull the buggies, rake the bunkers and help the kids get around the course at a good pace.

The focus is on having fun and experiencing a team environment while learning about match play.

After five rounds Pennant Hills were undefeated with Muirfield a close second.

Everyone had a great time making new friends and they can’t wait for the next season of Junior League!

The northern district also took part in the league, with Pymble, Killara, Oatlands, Concord, Avondale and North Ryde competing. Pymble took the trophy with North Ryde just one match behind.

Most importantly everyone had fun!
