Keating advances at US Amateur

AIS/Golf Australia National Squad member Stacey Keating and fellow Australian Leanne Bowditch are the only two Australians left in the hunt at the US Women&aposs Amateur at the Old Warson Country Club in St Louis, Missouri. Julia Boland, who has just announced her move to Texas, lost in the Round of 64 to Illinois resident Brooke Beeler 3&1. Keating, who finished runner-up to Boland in the final of Trans Amateur in Tennessee, defeated Kristen Park (California) 5&4 to move into the Round of 32. If Keating and Bowditch continue to win, the stage could be set for an All-Australian semi final. The tournament continues tomorrow. RESULTS: Stacey Keating, Australia (146) def.
