Keating Tied Second But Luna Maintains Lead

Australian Stacey Keating chipped in for an eagle on the 15th on the third round of Lacoste Ladies Open de France to sent the crowd roaring to stay 3 shots behind leader, Diana Luna.

Keating started her round strong with 2 under after the turn, but bogeys on 11th, 12th and 14th saw her slipping away from the top of the leaderboard.

Keating followed up with a birdie after her chipped in eagle and finished with 1 under par 69 and now lie tied on the second spot with Italian Anne-Lise Caudal and Spaniard Carlota Ciganda.

Caudal was a crowd favourite and was impressive in her 3 under 67 round which included 4 consecutive birdies from the 5th hole and an eagle on the 15th.

Luna, the 36 hole leader, kept a steady game and capitalised on her birdie chances with a total of 4 birdies in the front nine and 2 bogeys on the second nine to finish with 2 under par 68.

Lorena Ochoa, retired former No. 1 player, remained the star attraction to the event and didn&apost disappoint with her 2 under par 68 total to finish tied 19th.

Australians Bree Arthur, Nikki Garrett and Sarah Kemp are all tied 23rd. Rebecca Artis is tied 53rd.
