Blustery and cold conditions made scoring difficult for players in this year’s Royal Melbourne Senior Amateur. 100 players competed on the West Course today and it was 2012 Shepparton Senior Amateur Champion, John Keller (Hill Top), that etched his name on the cup, with a solid score of 78 gross. Finishing just one shot behind Keller was Barry Tippett (Sands Torquay) with 79 gross. Tom Richardson (Amstel) shot 74 nett, with a handicap of 6, to take out the best nett score, one shot clear of Pat Giles (Goonawarra) and Paul Lulofs (The National).
