Kennedy poised to strike in Japan

Australian Brad Kennedy is well placed at the Japan Golf Tour&aposs The Crowns, sitting tied for third at the halfway point at the Nagoya Golf Club. Kennedy carded an even-par 70 to be one-over overall and two shots behind leader Hideki Matsuyama, who shot a three-under 67 in his second round. Shingo Katayama is outright second on even par following a two-under round, while SK Ho is tied with Kennedy after he went one under on Friday. Michio Matsumura hasn&apost gone under the card in his two rounds, but sits fifth on two over after his one-over 71. Defending champion IJ Jang is among those tied for sixth on three over, level with Kunihiro Kamii, Kenichi Kuboya and Akio Sadakata. Rounding out the top 10 are a group of seven on four over, including Australian Steven Conran.
