Kew shine in Bronze Teams

Kew Golf Club has taken out the 2015 Bronze Teams’ Stableford Title with a 3-ball stableford aggregate of 104 points.

The victorious team comprised of Margot Crilly, Dorothy Chard & Jenny Danks who were delighted to claim the win at the exquisite Huntingdale Golf Club this morning. Scores of 45, 28 & 31 respectively gave them a 104 total, which was seven points ahead of nearest rival’s and defending champions Shepparton Golf Club on 97 points. Crilly’s excellent score of 45 points also gave her the individual title.

The Bronze Teams’ Event began in 1967 originally as a stroke competition for those who had a handicap ranging from 19 to 36. In 1972 the event was modified to a stableford format which has continued to this day. Kew now engrave its name on the Bronze Division Teams Trophy for a second time after their win in 2008.

The 2016 Bronze Teams event will again take place in May with the event scheduled for Monday 23 May at Latrobe Golf Club.
