Kieran Pratt joins Golf Australia National Squad

Golf Australia is pleased to announce that Victorian Kieran Pratt has joined the Golf Australia National Squad, effective immediately. It caps a stellar 6 months for Pratt who was victorious in the Dunes Medal, Victorian Medal & Amateur and the Lake Macquarie Amateur. He’s also had top 10 finishes at the Australian Stroke Play and Riversdale Cup and was a Quarter Finalist in the Srixon Australian Amateur. He is currently ranked Number 1 on the Australian Amateur Rankings System. A member of Commonwealth Golf Club in Melbourne, Pratt will join Srixon Australian Stroke Play and Amateur Champion Matt Jager (WA) as the headline Australians to play at this weekend s St Andrews Links Trophy, before playing the Amateur Championship at Muirfield and North Berwick Golf Clubs. It is great recognition for Pratt who has also been selected in the 4 man squad for the World Amateur Teams Championship Eisenhower Trophy to be played later this year in Argentina. Golf Australia High Performance Manager Matt Cutler welcomed the addition of Pratt to the National Squad. Kieran has been very impressive since his breakthrough national win at the Dunes late last year. He’s proved himself as a player to watch by continuously putting himself in contention in major Australian events. I wouldn t be surprised if he did something special overseas this year he can match it with anyone .
