King finishes sixth in Korea

Jason King closed with a two-under 69 to finish in a tie for sixth place at the Korea Open. Starting the day in a tie for eighth position, King had a fantastic final round and posted one of the better scores of the day. The Aussie finished five shots behind winner Bae Sang-moon who delighted the home fans with his one stroke triumph. “I&aposm extremely happy and I don&apost think I&aposve realised the magnitude of my win. I&aposm very proud of myself,” said Bae. Englishman Ian Poulter finished in second place, while Ryder Cup winner Anthony Kim was a further stroke back in a tie for third with Korean Kim Wi-joong. Poulter, with seven wins in Europe, was leading the field heading home but the title slipped away when he struck bogeys on the 16th and 18th holes. “I came here to win but I am going home second, so I&aposm not very happy. But it&aposs nice to come here with so many fans and I&aposm glad I could show them some good golf this week,” said the 32-year-old. Tony Carolan failed to match his first round heroics and slipped further down the leaderboard to finish in a tie for 21st. David Gleeson was 29th, while Rick Kulacz dropped to 39th after a disastrous four-over par final round. Gavin Flint also finished in 39th after a one-under 70 on Sunday.
