Until 2013 the Kooringal Junior Girls Tournament and the Kookaburra Trophy has had a specific focus on increasing junior girls participation in golf. This year the event will now be called the Kooringal Junior Tournament which will allow junior boys to participate for the first time.
As Kooringal Golf Club is the home of the Victorian Primary Schools Golf State Final, Golf Victoria also believed it was fitting that the School Sport Victoria (SSV) Team Vic 12 Years and Under Boys & Girls selection trial be incorporated into the event also.
The Kooringal Junior Tournament offers a range of events for junior of all abilities to enjoy. Juniors can enter one of the following: 18 hole stroke (incorporating the SSV Team Vic Trial), 18 hole stableford or 9 hole modified stroke. For more information regarding both the age and handicap limits for the above events refer to the entry form.
Entries for the event close Friday 6 September. There will be a maximum of 100 participants, so enter now before you miss out! To enter, simply fill out entry form and return to juniors@golfvic.org.au or enter online.
