Day 2
Guy Krall (Yarra Yarra) has won the Men’s 2013 Tocumwal Senior Amateur with a steady final round of 78, 6 over par which gave him a 36 hole total of 152, 8 over par. While overnight leaders had their troubles, Krall held his nerve down the stretch to pinch the title by one shot from Goonawarra member Pat Giles.
After a few close misses, Krall said he was ecstatic to win the Tocumwal Senior Amateur in what was perfect golf weather both yesterday and today.
The Women’s Senior Amateur was won by Buninyong member Helen Pascoe with a 36 stableford total of 55 points. Helen, who plays of a fantastic handicap of 3, outclassed her opponents.
In the nett, Adam Charleston (H’cap 12) from Lonsdale Golf Club was well ahead of the rest of the field with a 36 hole nett total of 137.
This ends a long week for the seniors, with the Melbourne sandbelt events next on the calendar.
