Matt Kuchar will take a two-stroke lead into the final round of The Memorial Tournament in Ohio, while Aussies Matt Jones and Adam Scott are firmly in contention. Jones and Scott shot 69 and 70 respectively in their third rounds at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin on Saturday to be right in the mix at the top of the leaderboard. Jones is on five under, three shots behind Kuchar, while Scott is a shot back on four under. The others Australiana in the field are struggling, with John Senden, Robert Allenby and Jason Day all three over. American Kuchar carded a two-under 70 on Saturday to move to the top of the standings. Kuchar was three strokes behind overnight leader Bill Haas ahead of the third round, but Haas&apos endured a torrid time of it on Saturday – making three consecutive bogeys late in his round to sign for a 76. Kuchar leads by two shots from compatriots Kevin Chappell and Kyle Stanley, with Chappell shooting a 68, equal with JJ Henry for the day&aposs best round. Jones, England&aposs Justin Rose and Haas are a shot further back on five under, while four men – Scott, South African Charl Schwartzel, plus Americans Henry and Scott Piercy – are on four under. Tiger Woods had a terrible day, with his 79 the equal third-worst round of his career, after his 80 at the 1994 Nestle Invitational and his 81 at the 2002 British Open. Woods shot 44 on the back nine – with three double bogeys and a bogey – for the worst nine-hole score of his storied career, and he finished the day on eight over, two shots behind Rory McIlroy. McIlroy has struggled for consistency at The Memorial, with rounds of 78, 69 and 75.
