Kulacz wins Scratch Players Championship

Rick Kulacz has geared up for the US Amateur in the best possible way, winning the Scratch Players Championship in California. The West Australian posted scores of 69 66 64 73 to finish at 12-under, one shot ahead of American Mu Hu. The win will do Kulacz a world of good as he and Jamie Arnold prepare for the US Amateur, beginning August 20 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco. Other Australians in the field who made the cut at the Scratch Players Championship included Jake Younan-Wise (QLD), who finished tied for 11th at three-under and Michael Foster (WA) who finished in a share of 26th at two-over.
